HEIRLOOM FAMILY COOKBOOK

Designing a cookbook without any pictures of food was a challenge to imagine and create. It had to encapsulate the feeling of family and the nostalgia of homecooking. This was reflected in a thoughtful, understated way with minimal and clean san serif fonts and most importantly photographs of all the family members that contributed with their recipes for the book.
I designed the book to make it bold but subtle, adding negative space to let the photographs do the talking. I’ve used Roboto for the headings and Helvetica Neue as the main body font. Together, they create a cohesive look.
